Cheek Swabs for Rowan

Free bubble tea at Sunnybank Plaza – and you could save a life.
On the 14th and 15th March, register as a stem cell donor at Sunnybank Plaza and you could be the lifesaving match for 20-year-old Rowan Tong-Law.
Rowan was enjoying his first year studying physiotherapy at university when he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. After six months of chemotherapy without success, his only hope is now a stem cell transplant. Blood stem cell transplants offer a critical, potentially life-saving treatment for patients by replacing malfunctioning stem cells with healthy cells from a donor. An urgent worldwide search is underway to find a matching donor.
If you’re aged 18-35, we need you. Register as a blood stem cell donor with a simple online form & cheek swab, on Saturday 14 or Sunday 15 March between 10am – 3pm at Sunnybank Plaza, outside Kmart, and receive a free bubble tea* for signing up. *T&Cs apply.
All participants must hold a Medicare card.
