Heal Country, Heal Our Nation.

Sunnybank Plaza and Retail First Shopping Centre’s are proudly celebrating NAIDOC Week, Sunday 4 to Sunday 11 July, by featuring artwork from local Indigenous artist, Mr Stephen Hogarth.

Each year NAIDOC week grows in stature and depth of celebrations at community, state and national level. It is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing cultures on the planet.

The 2021 NAIDOC theme – Heal Country! – calls for stronger measures to recognise, protect, and maintain all aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.

Visit the official NAIDOC website for further information.

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land on which we gather. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders for guiding us in the past, walking with us in the present, and leading us into the future.
