What's Happening

Sunnybank’s Lunar New Year Rooftop Party is a free, family friendly event on the rooftop at Sunnybank Plaza! This year, our incredible sky show will include Brisbane’s very first Lunar New Year drone show plus Brisbane’s biggest Lunar New Year firework spectacular from the team at Skylighter! The evening will also include an exciting line-up of live entertainment, lion & dragon dance performances, activities for the kids and giveaways – it’s the perfect way to herald in the Year of the Horse.

As always, all your favourite Sunnybank restaurants will be available for dine in or takeaway, with special Lunar New Year menu offerings.

The event will kick off at 5pm on Saturday 28 February with drone show at 7.10pm and fireworks scheduled for 8pm.

All the fun will take place on the Cinema Rooftop Car Park (accessed via the food court travelator) and we will also have an alternative viewing area on the Northern Rooftop Car Park (outside from Commbank, above Welcome Fresh Supermarket).
